The Bexar County Commissioners Court today approved funding for a "super street" at Loop 1604 from Shaenfield to New Guilbeau Rds.
When completed next year, crossing traffic will no longer be allowed at the intersections. Instead, drivers entering 1604 will make right turns only. If a left turn is desired, drivers will use new "turn-around" lanes to be added near the intersections.
Plans also call for widening Braun Rd at 1604, which should be completed this summer, and a longer term project for the Hwy 151 and Loop 1604 intersection. See details here.

What is wrong with our City Planners? They should be planning (for the future) Overpass at 1604 & Braun Rd and turn around lanes at 1604 and Saenfield will be a disaster. Get a grip!!!
