Is the COP program and/or the Finesilver Ranch Board going to take some sort of action concerning motorcycles in the greenbelt? There is at least one riding in the greenbelt as I type. Perhaps the board could formaly appeal to our city council person about this on going annoyance? It is my understanding that elected public officals tend to act if their constituents ask. Maybe the our board could contact the HOA boards of the adjacent subdivisions for a stronger showing to the council person?

Others share your concern about motor vehicles operating in the greenbelt. Residents are urged to call the SAPD non-emergency line (207-7273) to make a complaint. Residents may also call Blue Armor Security via Association Management Services (829-7202).

Though C.O.P. awaits training before scheduled patrols begin, members are aware of the issue and, like any other resident, will call SAPD and Blue Armor when this activity is observed.

Thank you for your excellent suggestions to notify our city council representative and to join forces with neighboring associations to address the unauthorized use of the greenbelt.
Your post was forwarded to the board.

As it happens, City Councilman Rodriquez' staff will attend the 10Sep HOA meeting, 6:30 p.m. at Nichols ES. If you're able, please support the board in voicing the complaint to Councilman Rodriquez' staff in person.

Meanwhile, please report these incidents to SAPD and Blue Armor. This will increase enforcement to discourage motorcycle and ATV riders. Also, the record of police responses will help justify the HOA and Councilman Rodriquez' concern as they work with the City of San Antonio to resolve the problem.

Posted on behalf of the FSR HOA President:

Dear Councilman Rodriguez,
Residents in my subdivision would like for me to ask the Councilman's recommendation about what to do about the violators of the city ordinance regarding operating motorized vehicles in the easements? Unfortunately, our common area lies adjacent to this easement, and the motor vehicles use it as an access point. It is cost prohibitive for our HOA to fence it off, and it would not sove the problem of the vehicles accessing from other areas. Those homeowners who deliberately purchased lots with a greenbelt behind it, never bargained for it being a roadway. We constantly call the police, but obviously, they are never able to respond quickly enough to catch the violators. Any suggestions? I will wait for your reply. Thank you.
