Images of the classic Bill Murray gag in Caddyshack come to mind. But an article from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention details the serious health concern fecal contamination presents to public pools. Fortunately, boosting the chlorine content normally remedies the problem in a day or less -- no need to drain the pool and swab a la Murray's Carl Spackler.
Though the events leading to the contaminations are unknown as of this post, it's a good time to review a relevant rule from the FSR HOA's Swimming Rules & Guidelines. Paragraph 7.h. states:
- Disposable diapers are not allowed. Commercial swim diapers may be used. Children in cloth diapers must wear rubber pants at all times when in the pool.
