Northside ISD busses will add to the rush hour traffic tomorrow, and students will crowd FSR street corners as they await their rides to Nichols ES, Stevenson MS, O'Connor HS and magnate schools.
According to NISD, there are school bus stops on virtually every street in FSR with pick-up times ranging from about 6:50 - 8:10 a.m. and afternoon drop-offs from 3:00 to 4:50 p.m.
Go to http://www.nisd.net/boundariesandbuses/ for specific bustop locations and schedules.

July Safety Committee Report
New Security Fence Damaged
The security fence installed across the storm drain near the intersection of Sweetwood and Twinpost was damaged 19 July and was quickly repaired by a neighbor, only to be found broken again on 30 July. On each occasion an unknown vandal removed or broke a plank to gain access to the neighborhood from the greenbelt. The HOA board is reconciling improvements with the contractor to better discourage access and mitigate future damage.
Graffiti Eradicated
On two occasions residents photographed and reported graffiti found in a storm drain bordering FSR near Twinpost. The city quickly responded with a fresh coat of paint. The committee awaits SAPD evaluation of the photos.
Soliciting Discouraged
See the 21 July post on this blog for details and recommendations concerning "mag crew" solicitors conducting door-to-door magazine subscription sales in the neighborhood for two days during mid-July.
Cellular on Patrol Planning Continues
The training dates will soon be announced. Due to overwhelming interest, SAPD will provide the training on site rather than the regularly scheduled classes held at the Prue Substation. Residents who provided an email address at last month's information meeting will receive an announcement soon.
Sex Offender Watch
As of this post, no documented sexual predators reside in FSR.
Blue Armor Patrol Summary
Security officers monitored traffic via radar on five occasions this month. There were no reports of excessive speed.
The security of garage doors was checked during 18 special emphasis patrols this month. On only one ocasion was a door reported open with the garage unattended.
Officers responded to remove solicitors, see 21 July post. The solicitors had apparently left by the time a patrol made the location.
SAPD Responses
SAPD made 14 calls for service to FSR. This corresponds with call volume averages of about 15 responses per month during 2007 and is one call less than July 2007.
Last month, police took a missing person report, responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Finesilver, addressed a traffic violation, responded to three accidental burglar alarms, and answered seven calls labled "miscellaneous." Officers also took a report from an FSR resident who fell victim to a fraudulent money order scam.
Continuing the trend in increased vehicle accident reports described last month, the Greenbriar neighborhood near Nichols ES again recorded a minor wreck at Braun and Lockspring. No other police activity was recorded for that neighborhood.
Greenbriar, though much smaller than Finesilver Ranch (approximately 70 homes to FSR's 392 homes) is the closest gated community and, presumably, has similar demographics for crime reporting comparison purposes.
SAFD Responses
SAFD made a medical call and one accidental residential alarm.
